Weekend Brunch: The French Ladle

//edited 05.07.14

After a year, I've gone back to the same place after again, collection of my textbook. We missed the all-day breakfast and wanted to make a trip back. But to much of our disappointment, the entire menu has been changed since a year ago. So whatever you are reading now is completely obsolete.

Hey owners, if you happen to read this, we missed your all day breakfast that was delicious and value for money. The menu now is just too overly priced and average food. Sincerely hope you bring back your good old all day breakfast.

Here's the lunch menu for you, which is very limited.

Pork Pate $13.90

Comes with bread.

Truffle Fries $13.90, probably the best dish there.

Cod Lam Seafood Broth $34.90

Coq Au Vin $29.90 (this is chicken with red wine)

Steak Frites $29.90

For you to decide, if it's worth a go. For us, maybe not.

A nice cozy place located inside Pandan Valley Condominium you will be able to find The French ladle. I wouldn't say it's convenient but it's worth to go at least once.

We dropped by this place after collection of our textbook from uniSIM. Collection of textbook means a whole new semester is coming our way... (double boohoo)

Main entrance of the restaurant.

Their humble kitchen, pretty open concept. You can see the dishes on the table being prepared.

A small and cozy place that is able to house 30 pax.

I realize the link of their website isn't working for their menu, so here's their weekend menu.

Drinks menu is hand written.

Eggs Benedict, ham two poached eggs with baguette, baby spinach, salad, crispy bacon bits - $16.90

I swear the salmon is just too good.

Eggs Norwegian, smoked salmon two poached eggs with potato strips and baby spinach, baguette - $17.90

The baguette is crispy and tasty too.

Totally love the mushroom.

The french ladle big breakfast with chicken chipolata, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, bacon, Parmesan salad, cherry tomatoes, baguette and french butter - $21.90

Scrambled eggs with salad, cherry tomatoes, baguette and french butter - $14.90

Not only that the food is nice, ambiance was good, the prices are nett! No GST or service charge! You hardly find such places now. Double the yayness, the parking was free when we went.

So if you're like us, heading to collect your textbook or you stay nearby, why not drop by to enjoy your weekend brunch with them?
