Day Five | 4 December 2016, Sunday

Again, off to Nara today.

  • Todai-ji Temple
  • Nara Park
  • Higashimuki Shopping Sreet

Todai-ji Temple  東大寺大仏殿

Address: 406-1 Zoushi-cho, Nara-shi 奈良市雑司町406-1
Nearest Station: JR Nara

Honestly, I came here really for the deers. (Hahahahahhahaa) But since I'm here, I also visited some random temples. Anyway, I allocated way too much time here today and actually you barely need 3 full hours here at Nara because there's really nothing much to do. Then again, I had fun with the deers for sure.

The deers are actually every where. Literally every where nearby the temples and of course in the park.

Nara Park 奈良公園

This park is really beautiful and I also brought some bread here as my lunch. I had a hard time trying to eat in peace because deers are everywhere and they will appear like wild pokemon and give you a shock sometimes if you're not alert enough.

I got pushed by the deers, it bit my coat and bowed at. The deers are really adorable when they bow at you for the deer biscuit but when you don't give them enough, they get nasty and start to come really close to you - and yes bit your coat hahahahaaha.

Nonetheless I had a fun time feeding deers and trying to run and hide to just finish up my bread.

 150yen

This little deer was bowing at me.

A failed attempt to selfie but... Thanks still. Hahahha.

So I was trying to feed this baby deer, and I got rejected.

Deer bowing!

Higashimuki Shopping Street 東向き商店街

Address: Right beside Kinetsu Nara Station
Nearest Station: Kinetsu Nara

Similar to Tenjibashi street, nothing much but just because it was on the way for me from the Nara JR station so I thought why not just pop by.

I saw alot of people queuing for this mochi so I thought to try to. 130yen for this, worth to give it a shot!

Day Six | 5 December 2016, Monday

It was a short trip to Nara yesterday so it's Kyoto for today.

  • Tenyru-ji Temple
  • Arashimaya Bamboo Grove
  • Iwatayama Monkey Park

Tenryu-ji temple 天龍寺

Address: 68 Susukinobaba-cho, Saga Tenryu-ji, Ukyo-ku 右京区嵯峨天龍寺芒ノ馬場町68
Nearest Station: Saga-Arashimaya
Admission is 800yen

I can't explain to you how believe the entire place is. But you really just have to visit this place. It's just so so so so beautiful. I'm totally in love with Kyoto!

Arashimaya Bamboo Grove

Address: Arashiyama, Ukyo-ku 右京区嵐山

Right after you're done with Tenyru Temple, you can just follow the bamboo grove signage path and walk up. I didn't stay very long in the grove because I've been to the one in Korea and it's roughly the same so... yeah. I was pretty excited for the monkeys. Hahaa.

Totally love this place that I stumble upon while on my journey walking over to the Monkey Park.

Warabimochi in a cup 300yen

Iwatayama Monkey Park

Address: 8 Arashiyama Genrokuyama-cho, Nishikyo-ku, Kyoto 616-0007, Japan
Admission is 500yen

The park closes at 1600 during winter so please go early. Also, be prepared to be climbing up hill for 20 minutes just to get the to park at the peak. Trust me, just go slow and you'd eventually get there. The view totally made it worth it. I stayed at least an hour on top and it was amazing.

Of course I had my fair share of fun with the monkeys, feeding them in the cage and looking at them just being themselves.

360 view of the entire park. Isn't very big but just nice for the monkeys in the wild.

Feeding the baby monkey!

100yen a packet of bananas for you to feed the monkeys in a safe enclosure.

I took a little stroll from the monkey park to my JR station and stopped at random places to take scenic views. Totally miss this view in front of my eyes.

Yet another ice-cream to complete my day!

I had the best time in Kyoto! Love the scenery, the people, the food and everything!
