It was a weekday noon and we're not the only ones waiting for their grand opening for the day. Other then the 3 of us, there were at least 3 other groups of people waiting for them to open. (well, I guess they are really famous then) We came here specifically to try their waffles so I'm not leaving without eating it. Hahahahha.
We tried some mains and shared a waffle and a rootbeer cake. Doreen and I both had the toast on 1/2 share while Marilyn had a beef lasagna. Well.. the toasts.. Wasn't really worth it and the beef lasagna was bad. Of course the main waffle and rootbeer cake was good.
Now the question is.. Salted Caramel or Wimbly Lu? Wimbly Lu's waffles are very crispy on the outside and inside it's quite fluffy too. It's really good, and I enjoyed it but... well. I stay in the north and for me to get to Salted Caramel is way faster and plus, I don't have to queue like crazy just for a waffles. So if you ask me, I'd head to Salted Caramel. But if you want to tell you which is better, I can't. Both is equally nice to me. So its your choice. Or rather, where you're nearer too and if you mind waiting up or not. So far for me to go Salted Caramel, I've never had to wait more than 30 minutes for a table and my waffles to be served. I'm sure Wimbly Lu will make you wait at least 15minutes on a crowded night to even get a table. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed my rootbeer cake and waffles for lunch.
Waffles achievement unlocked! Hahhahaa, finally got to eat it at the 3rd attempt to go Wimbly Lu.
Looks kinda pathetic for their presentation and it's completely not filling at all... |
Which was a little dry... and Marilyn didn't like it at all. |
Well, not coming back unless I'm nearby.. or when no queue. Hahaha.
