Cafe: Sin Lee Foods

Located at a quiet cozy corner of Jalan Bukit Ho Swee you can find Sin Lee Foods. One of the new cafes that you can add on to your list.

We went on a Wednesday and it was super quiet. It wasn't even close to crowded.

It's about 10 minutes walk from Tiong Bahru MRT though.

Not very extensive menu.

Peach Iced Tea $6

This was pretty average so to be charged $6 is a little on the high side in my opinion.

Cafe Latte $5.50

A very tiny cup that well... my coffee companion doesn't give her approval of this.

Croissant Royale $16.90

Vegetables were too salty, salmon wasn't very fresh but the croissant was pretty good. Crispy and fragrant. Overall if you put them together they are just passable. Nothing fantastic. Poached eggs wasn't done well, so for that, I guess I didn't really enjoyed this dish.

Spam Fries $6.50

Spam fries never goes wrong. So this was good.

Sin Lee Fried Chicken Waffle $21.90

This is supposedly their signature dish which I find overly priced. Yes, the chicken is good but the waffle was bad. I kept harping on the point it felt like plastic. Oh, just so you know, the chicken tasted like prawn paste chicken. So... yeah.

Mini Doughnuts $8.90

Forget about this. The doughnut was overly oily and... the sauce that came with it wasn't fantastic.

We didn't bother finishing the doughnuts.

Anyway, conclusion? Once is enough. Not really worth coming all the way here and paying the this kind of price.
